General format information.
PHOTOSHOP file with Layers is highly preferred. If building your file in Photoshop, build the file TO SCALE (i.e. 1 inch = 1 foot) and set the dpi to a number that makes the file size around 200-250MB.
ILLUSTRATOR files should be built to scale, with all fonts converted to outlines.
QUARK and INDESIGN files should be sent with all associated files (font, images) and exported. Include all files and fonts that are used, placed, embedded or otherwise referenced by your artwork.
Do not assume that files are embedded, unless you are sure, please send them with your artwork.
Use a vector based program for your graphics elements & text where possible. Do not rasterize your vector elements. Wherever possible, please supply a color mechanical or PDF to compare to your file. This will eliminate the possibility of missing elements or incorrect typefaces.
If applicable, list on your mechanical all Pantone colors used.
